"Get over it!" Tigerpaw mewed back, the tunnel starting to widen as they went along

"How the Clans formed!" Goldkit mewed, curious of their origins

Cloverheart laughed. "okay then."

Fallowpaw chuckled and followed her.

Goldkit waited patiently for her to start the story, his tail twitching in excitement

Tigerpaw continued through the darkening tunnel and soon become so dark that she couldn't see anything ahead. She bumped into a few walls and muttered to herself before continuing

"Well long ago, there were five cats. One was gray, a bulging tom named Storm(???Clan). Another was called Flame (FireClan), she was a lithe orange tabby. One was a clear silver and white she-cat named Rain (DewClan). Leaf was a soft brown tom with striking green eyes (ForestClan). The last was a long furred tom with dark fur and green eyes too, named Shadow (GladeClan, ya know, meadows and stuff, needs to be agile and stuff xD)." Cloverheart began.

"It's dark." Fallowpaw whispered, his voice echoing.

Goldkit continued to listen, not wanting to interrupt the story unless he had a good reason

"No kidding" Tigerpaw meowed, rubbing her head with a paw. She continued along and soon began to see a glow from further in the tunnel. The glow given off was frosty blue and seemed to light the whole tunnel ahead of them. Curious, she continued down, her eyes squinting as she tried to adjust them to the blinding light "Is there a StarClan warrior in here or something?" she mumbled, half joking, half serious

"Well, they found this territory and lived together, hunting, getting by. But the territory was too big for them to have as one clan, and many cats were joining them. One day, they all woke up after a dream with cats they didnt know. They began fighting amongst themselves, for moons. Then they decided they'd all live in seperate cat groups, one per area. They met up every full moon to discuss their moon and the new cats all chose their leaders. Clan traditions evolved over time untill we became what we are now."

Fallowpaw shrugged, silnced by awe.

Goldkit smiled and wiggled his tail "Awesome!" he mewed

Tigerpaw's eyes began to adjust and soon she could make out large crystals. Her eyes widened in sheer awe as she trotted up to one of them. She set a paw on the stone and felt its cool touch send a shiver down her spine

Fallowpaw sniffed them cautiously. "what are they?"

Cloverheart smiled. "It's a short story, but no one really knows all the details anymore."

"I don't know but they are so pretty" Tigerpaw mewed, letting her paw slide across its smooth surface

Goldkit tilted his head "Why not?" he asked

"It's so very long ago." Cloverheart answered.

Fallowpaw grunted his agreement, pressing his nose to the cool lights.

"I'm sure StarClan knows" Goldkit mewed "Can we ask them?"

Tigerpaw cleared her mind and looked at the roof to see some light filtering in from above. A crystal was high enough to where they could exit through it one by one "There's a hole up there" she pointed out "If you want to leave, we can use that"

"Maybe one day." Cloverheart said. "But they don't go around cats' dreams and tell them stories, you know, not even ones that were elders when living."

Fallowpaw placed a paw on the crystal. "But it's too smooth, isn't it?"

"They talk to the medicine cats though, right?" Goldkit asked

"Tom cat up and dig your claws in" Tigerpaw replied, flicking his ears with her tail. She carefully climbed onto the crystal, keeping her claws out as she scaled the stone

"About more important things, yes." Cloverheart answered.

He smiled and waited untill she was further up before trying it himself. It was slow going but not impossible.

"But knowing our history is important" Goldkit replied, wanting to know more on the topic

Tigerpaw finally reached the top and squeezed out of the exit hole. She felt instantly reheated after being in the cool tunnels. She glanced around and her jaw nearly dropped when she realized where the hole led out; right by the camp. "You won't believe where this ends up" she called down to Fallowpaw "Now hurry up!"

maybe one day someone will know it enough to tell you, when they do, I want to know it too." She said, wishing she knew more too.

Fallowpaw didn't reply, clenching his teeth with effort untill he secured his claws into the dry mud. He pulled himself out and his mouth fell open. "We never noticed..."

Goldkit nodded "Of course! You were the one to originally tell me so it would be repayment" he mewed

"I guess not" Tigerpaw mewed, looking back down at the hole "Everyone must have thought it was a rabbit hole and decided to leave it be"

Whitetail was in the camp.

Icepaw sat alone.

Roseclaw streached her paws.

Cloverheart smiled.

"Do you think it's anything important?" Fallowpaw asked.

two kits sneaked out and got in trouble, cos there was a fox on the loose at the time. and also, Fallowpaw and Tigerpaw found an underground cavern with loads of crystals, from a tunnel near the woods in FireClan territory, leading all the way to just outside the camp.)
