"No, they are quite lazy today."  Silvercloud said, gazing at the dens.  She could scent the other cats sound asleep in their nests.

Swiftstar flicked his tail in disappointment. "Since we're up, we should probably make ourselves useful." he commented as he got to his paws, "No point in having everyone be lazy."

"Yes, let's do something.  How about a hunt?"  Silvercloud asked, staring at the shockingly low fresh-kill pile.

Other- Goldenpath's mate is from Fireclan, and her kits are going to be half-clan, even though he joined the clan.

Swiftstar gave her a curt nod and trotted towards the entrance. "At least it's green-leaf", he said cheerily, "Finding prey shouldn't be too difficult."

Silvercloud nodded, then turned her head towards the warriors den as the bramble made a noise.  Moonfur padded out, stretching his legs and yawning.  "Hunting patrol?  I could come."

Swiftstar's gaze also turned towards the warriors' den and he felt his fur prickle a bit when Moonfur appeared. Even though he let the warrior join to be with his mate, he was still suspicious of his true loyalties. "Sure", he replied flatly, continuing through the entrance.

Silvercloud nodded.  She began to pad towards the entrance of the camp. "Come on, the prey won't catch it's self."  Moonfur padded behind her, his amber eyes gleaming.  Silvercloud glanced at Swiftstar, waiting for him to come.

Swiftstar made his way out of camp and glanced around the territory. "Right. I think anywhere we go will have some prey.", he said before turning his eyes to Moonfur. "Where do you propose we start?" he asked the tom as a challenge.

"Near the stream.  The prey would be coming for a drink in the morning." Moonfur said, swishing his black tail across the forest floor.  Silvercloud nodded in agreement.  The tom was smart.

Swiftstar nodded, figuring the tom would go for the most obvious place. The leader flicked his tail to gather the patrol and padded off towards the stream.

Silvercloud padded after Swiftstar, leaving the other warrior to catch up.  Moonfur sighed and tried to keep up.

Swiftstar began to notice the ground beneath his paws grow wetter as they approached the stream. He pricked his ears and heard prey scurrying all around the area. Without a word to avoid the prey becoming aware of them, the leader made a signal with his tail for the patrol to split up.

Silvercloud split from Swiftstar and got into a crouch, a water vole in front of her.  She stalked forwards quietly, pouncing at the right moment.

Moonfur watched Silvercloud for a bit, then went to his own hunting.

Swiftstar looked over his shoulder to make sure the others were far enough away to avoid disturbing their targets. He quickly found a mouse nibbling on a seed and quickly dealt a killing bite.

Moonfur scented a blackbird sitting on a bush pecking at blackberries.  He stalked up to it, then pounced, dealing the killing blow quickly.  

Silvercloud sat up with two voles in her mouth.  "Ready?"  She asked the patrol, placing the fresh-kill on the ground.

Swiftstar spotted two more mice huddled around a hole. As he got closer, Silvercloud's voice broke his concentration, causing one mouse to flee. He managed to snag the other before it too disappeared. The leader gathered up his other mouse before heading back to the patrol.

(I have to go, it is 12:17 AM here, and I just watched the third Lord of the Rings movie.)

Moonfur padded next to Silvercloud as she lead the patrol back.

Silvercloud carried the prey she had caught between her jaws, glancing at Swiftstar from time to time.

Swiftstar padded along side the rest of the patrol with his prey and noticed Silvercloud's gaze every so often. The leader thought nothing of it and continued on.

(Hey, can Goldenpath have her kits and can I make them?)

Silvercloud turned her head and walked back to camp, noticing Moonfur walking to the nursery. His mate Goldenpath met him at the entrance, rubbing her golden pelt on Moonfur's black one.

Swiftstar padded in just behind Silvercloud and saw Moonfur approach the nursery to see his mate. His gaze lingered on the couple for a few heartbeats before he deposited his prey on to the fresh kill pile
