"Ok." Foxpaw nodded before going over to the fresh kill pile.

Raventalon followed, taking a mouse for himself and settling down in front of the warriors' den.

After eating, Raventalon padded into the warriors' den to sleep

(Hey! I am back from sleep away camp. What happened?)

(Welcome back :3 Raventalon and Foxpaw found a badger and chased it off. Swiftstar helped and ended up with some bad injuries)

Silvercloud padded into camp, her tail twitching with anger. This time, not at anyone in the clan, but at herself. She had annoyed Swiftstar about Spottedkit, and had entered the clan only moments after to find he had been badly hurt. Silvercloud was entering the camp after some... Thinking time, and made her way to Swiftstar in the medicine den.

"Swiftstar? Are you okay?" She asked.

Moonfur lay in his nest, his fur ruffled by the fact that Swiftstar had gotten hurt on his patrol. He should have been there.

Spottedkit watched his mother fall asleep. He stood up, and padded quietly out of camp, as to not wake anyone. His eyes shone as he looked at the forest. He dashed around, trying to see if the badger was still there. He noticed a red tail, tipped with black. That doesn't have the scent that Raventalon and Foxpaw were carrying. Cool!. He dashed off towards it.

Swiftstar was partially asleep when he heard someone walk into the den. He looked up to see his deputy. "Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, glancing down at the large gash in his hind leg. The wound was deep with blood welling up constantly. The cobwebs that were placed on it took little time to become saturated.

Raventalon padded out of the warriors' den after sleeping off his injuries when a small figure caught his eye. His head snapped around to where the figure was only to see it had ran off. Still paranoid after the badger attack, he decided it was worth investigating. He poked his head back into the den. "Moonfur? Do you mind helping me look around the camp for anymore badgers?"

Silvercloud looked at Swiftstar's leg. "You obviously aren't fine, but if the medicine cat is taking care of you, you must be." She said, sniffing at the wound.

Moonfire got up and followed Raventalon. "Of course I would."

Spottedkit shivered in the coldness of the night, his eyes fixed on the tail in front of him. His nose picked up stale scent of badger, and of Raventalon, Foxpaw, and Swiftstar.

Goldenpath woke up, brushing her tail over her kit. When the tail didnt touch anything, her eyes grew wide.

"It'll heal eventually," Swiftstar replied, switching out his old cobwebs for some new ones.

Raventalon nodded to the warrior. "Let's check around the camp perimeter first," he said.

Moonfur nodded, then twitched his nose. "Is that... Fox?" He thought aloud, turning in a direction away from camp. Another scent was layered on top, one more strong. "Spottedkit!"

Spottedkit padded down the path more, his eyes wide with excitement. Suddenly, the tail dissapeared, replaced with a snarling face.

"Fox?!," Raventalon replied in disbelief, "Are you sure?" The warrior scented the air for himself and discovered Moonfur was right. His fur stood on end as the scent of Spottedkit reached his nose too. "We have to go, now!"

Frightened, Spottedkit extended his claws and struck them across the animal's face, leaving a visible wound. The animal roared with angry and charged after Spottedkit, who was running through the trees. Picking up Moonfur's scent, he cried. "MOONFUR HELP!"

Raventalon's ears pricked when he heard the kit's cry. "Hang on Spottedkit!," he called out to him, pushing his legs to run faster. As he neared them, he could hear the yipping and snarling of the fox. He let out a yowl to get the fox's attention off of Spottedkit.

Moonfur pelted in front of Raventalon, his mind racing at the thought of his son getting killed by a fox, so young. His eyes wide, he entered and small clearing, where Spottedkit crouched under a small boulder. The fox, a big, brutish male, was swiping at him. It couldn't reach him, but when Spottedkit noticed Moonfur, he perked up. The fox caught the kit's ear with his claw, and dragged him out. "Spottedkit!" He yowled, lunging at the fox.

Raventalon was crestfallen that his attempt to distract the fox failed. However, the feeling was short lived when he saw the fox was getting too close to the kit. Hissing, he ran after Moonfur to attack the fox. The warrior chose to grab the beast by its tail and began to tug on it in the hope that he could drag him away from Spottedkit.

Spottedkit yowled as his ear tore under the stress of the fox's claw. Blood trickled down his face as he returned to cower under the rock.

Moonfur grabbed the fox's neck, and tried to pull it away, helping Raventalon. The fox soon yelped and ran off.

Raventalon felt the fox begin to flee and bit down harder onto its tail. The fox freed itself and left a very triumphant Raventalon full of the fur from its tail. "That went well," he said with a smile, spitting out some of the fur. He looked over to where Spottedkit was hiding but said nothing, figuring whatever his father had to say would be enough for the kit.

Moonfur nodded in agreement, then turned to his son. Tail lashing in annoyance and anger, he stalked towards the kit.

"Spottedkit, why were you out here?"

"I wanted to see if the badger was still here." The kit replied, shakily.

"We will let Swiftstar decide what to do with you. But for now, me and your mother are going to have a serious talk with you." Moonfur said, grabbing his son by the scruff. He could taste his son's blood from his ear.

Raventalon stayed out of the family matters for the most part and padded alongside Moonfur back to camp. He glanced over at the kit and shrugged. "Should've just stayed in the den," he commented, turning his gaze back to the path ahead.

Spottedkit meowed in pain as they entered the camp. Goldenpath was waiting, and licked both Moonfur and Spottedkit between the ears. Moonfur then brought Spottedkit into the medicine den, and placed him down.

"Swiftstar?"

Swiftstar watched as the kit was placed down and noticed his injury. "What happened?," the leader asked, looking up at the two parents, "Did the badger attack the nursery?"

Moonfur shook his head. "No. You would know if that had happened. Spottedkit snuck out of camp and ran into a fox."

"What!," Swiftstar exclaimed, jumping up a bit and nearly reopening his wound. He calmed himself before he continued. "Is the fox gone?," he asked in the calmest voice he could.

Moonfur nodded. "Raventalon and I chased it off. He was the one who decided to do a check for badgers, but the we found Spottedkit." He said, making sure that the leader knew of Raventalon's idea.

Goldenpath sat licking her son's wound and purring because he was safe.
