Swiftstar looked around but saw nothing, but he could smell the stench of the badger. "I wonder where they-" he said before being cutoff by a yowl.

Raventalon tripped on a hole, causing him to twist his paw. The badger snarled as it approached the warrior.

"Raventalon!" Foxpaw gasped when she heard the yowl. She quickly sprinted off towards the noise.

"Wait! The badger could be anywhere!" Swiftstar called after her before sprinting off as well.

Raventalon managed to get to his paws before the badger could get to him. He hissed at it as he took several steps back.

Foxpaw didn't listen to him and kept going. She slowed once she saw the badger ahead. She slid his claws out but didn't attack.

Swiftstar stopped beside Foxpaw and slid his claws out as well. "Attack!" he yowled, hurling himself onto the badger's back.

Raventalon saw the two arrivals and felt a wave of energy envelop him. He launched himself onto the badger as well.

Foxpaw hurried after Swiftstar. She ran at the badger and went to bite its leg.

The badger cried as the three cats attacked him all at once. With two on its back and one biting its legs, it was immobilized. It swiped its paws frantically as it tried to land a blow. Raventalon was far enough away from its paws to avoid injury but Swiftstar's leg was slashed, causing him to yowl in pain.

Foxpaw tried to get out of the way so she wouldn't get crushed under the badgers paws at it started to swipe at the cats.

Seeing that the badger was causing too much damage, Raventalon slipped underneath it and clamped his jaws on its throat. It growled in fury as it thrashed around even more.

Swiftstar winced in pain as he was thrown off. "Help me restrain it," he called over to Foxpaw as he jumped onto its back.

Foxpaw gave a slight nod before leaping into the badgers back and sinking her claws in.

With the badger secured, Raventalon could bite into its throat more easily. The creature gave a few more growls and snarls before they began to fade away until it was silent.

Once the badger grew quiet Foxpaw jumped off it. She looked at the giant creature before asking, "is it dead?"

Swiftstar felt the badger's muscles go limp and he backed off of it. "I think so," he answered, "You can let go Raventalon."

Raventalon held on tightly even after it was dead and only let go once Swiftstar told him to. "That was interesting," he said, breathing heavily.

"Are you ok?" asked Foxpaw, going over to her mentor. She looked up at him with worried eyes.

"Yeah," Raventalon replied, "Just a twisted paw." He looked over at Swiftstar to see his hind leg bleeding heavily. "Dear StarClan that must hurt," he blurted out, eyes wide in shock.

"I-It's nothing," Swiftstar insisted, trying to get up only to sit back down.

Foxpaw looked at the both of them. "We should get back to camp."

Raventalon nodded. "Help me with Swiftstar," he said, getting on one side of the leader.

Foxpaw nodded before getting on the other side of the leader

Raventalon helped to lead the leader back to camp.

Swiftstar stumbled along.

Foxpaw helped as well

Upon arrival at camp, Raventalon escorted Swiftstar to the medicine cat den and set him in a nest.

Foxpaw waited at the entrance to the den

Raventalon padded out of the den. "He should be fine," he told Foxpaw, "Just needs some rest."

"That's good."

"You can help yourself to some fresh kill if you want," Raventalon said with a yawn, "And a nap too."
